# Build A Parlay

Parlays start from the individual markets you pick. Choose outcomes, review the combined parlay in the betslip, then place it as a single trade.

## Choose Outcomes

Find the markets you want to combine. Each selected outcome (YES or NO on its market) becomes one leg of the parlay.

A few rules apply automatically as you build:

* Between **2 and 5 legs**
* Each leg must be from a different market (no duplicates)
* Only markets currently open for trading can be selected
* Some pairs are blocked when they are obviously correlated

## Review The Betslip

As you add legs, the **betslip** opens and starts showing the parlay you are building. It updates in real time as you select or remove outcomes.

Use the betslip to check:

* the outcomes included and how many legs are in the parlay
* the **YES / NO side** you are taking
* the **stake amount** you want to commit
* the **quoted price** for the combined position
* the **fee** that will be charged

The quote refreshes automatically in the background while the betslip is open, so the price stays close to current market conditions. See [Quotes And Liquidity](/using-parlayit/quotes-and-liquidity.md) for how the quoting works.

## Place The Parlay

Once you are comfortable with the selected legs, the side, and the quoted terms, confirm the parlay to place it. The trade fills against the parlay orderbook at the quoted price.

## After Placement

After placement, the parlay waits for its underlying markets to resolve. When all legs are resolved, the parlay settles automatically. See [Settlement](/using-parlayit/settlement.md) for what a settled position is worth and when it appears in your balance.

While the parlay is unresolved, you can also sell your position back to the parlay's orderbook to exit before resolution.
