# What We Are Building

ParlayIt is a prediction market platform built around native multi-leg parlays.

On most prediction market platforms, parlays are a thin layer bolted on top of markets that were never designed for them. ParlayIt was built the other way around. Markets and parlays are part of the same system from day one. Any supported outcome can be combined with any other into a parlay, priced in real time, and placed as a single trade.

## What Makes ParlayIt Different

* **Native parlays.** Combinations are built and priced as users construct them, not selected from a fixed list of pre-built combos. Up to **5 legs** per parlay.
* **Own markets, own settlement.** ParlayIt lists and resolves its own markets, and runs its own chain for the settlement path. **\~500ms block times**, no user-paid gas, and no custom network to add in your wallet.
* **Free individual markets.** Buying and selling single-market positions costs **nothing**. Only parlays carry a fee.
* **Polygon-anchored funds.** USDC stays escrowed on Polygon under a guardian-multisig bridge. Your ParlayIt balance is a 1:1 claim on that escrow.
